What AI training jobs actually involve

Global technology companies — the ones building ChatGPT, Google's AI assistants, and dozens of other AI systems — need humans to train their models. Specifically, they need humans to:

Read and rate responses. An AI generates two answers to a question. You read both and decide which is better. You write one sentence explaining why. Done.

Label data. You look at an image and identify what's in it. Or you read a sentence and classify its sentiment. Simple categorisation that machines cannot do without human examples.

Test chatbots. You have a scripted conversation with an AI system and flag where it goes wrong. You're the quality checker.

No coding. No machine learning knowledge. No technical background. Good judgment, careful reading, honest feedback — that's the job.

Why Ghana specifically has an advantage

Global AI systems are mostly trained on Western English data. This creates specific gaps:

Ghanaian English expressions and idioms are underrepresented
West African cultural context is missing from most AI training data
